A former beauty queen and winner of Miss Ideal Nigeria ECOWAS 2017, Queen Eniola Christabel is excited to announce the maiden edition of her brainchild beauty paegent: FACE OF WESTERN NIGERIA.
The pageant which is scheduled to hold on the 11th of November 2018 at Owu Crown Hotels, Ibadan will serve as a voice for models (both male and female) from the western part of Nigeria, and would allow them to stand for something, have a say, push the boundaries of modeling and beauty pageant in western Nigeria.
According to a statement by the organizer, “this maiden edition will be unisex beauty pageant, from nine states, with eighteen contestants, to which each state produces two contestants and this would take place on the 11th of November 2018 at Owu Crown Hotels, Ibadan. We would host these aspiring beauty queens and kings in Ibadan, two days camping and a coronation night.
“The pageant is an initiative from a young model who started her modeling career with the believe that it is important to give back to the society, and to a large extent due to her focus, determination and drive to effect change in this industry, she has been successful as a model, now it is time to effect these changes. The initiative is labeled The face of western Nigeria, her first major project since becoming the winner of the Miss Ideal Nigeria ECOWAS in the year 2017.”
“Her vision is to run an organization that churns out transparent beauty competitions according to set standards and also set up a renowned beauty pageant company in three years time, not only in Ibadan or Western Nigeria, but the whole of Africa.”
FACE OF WESTERN NIGERIA became necessary after discovering that 90% Of Beauty Pageant Winners in Nigeria are From The Eastern Part”. And amazingly, this statistics includes, beauty with brains, poise, charisma common among these contestants. The organizer’s focus is majorly to promote skills acquisition in the nine western Nigeria states which includes Oyo, Osun, Ogun, Edo, Delta, Ekiti, Kwara,Ondo and Lagos,” she added.
Speaking on the prizes for the winners, the organizer said the winners will be paid quarterly salary, three months training with set up of any vocation of their choices, they will participate in Miss and Mr ideal Nigeria. They will bag ambassadorial deals and have career talks in Secondary & Primary School. They will also visit tourist centres in Western part of the country and media tour and many more.
