As Easter is being celebrated all over the world, the people of Ogun state have been asked to continue to pray for the peace and prosperity of the State, just as all looks forward to the administration of the state’s governor-elect, Prince Dapo Abiodun, MFR.

While wishing the people of Ogun state a joyous and fulfilled celebration, the Gateway Media Organization urge residents of the State to be optimistic of great prospects and potentials of the incoming administration.

The GMO in a statement signed by its coordinator, Omooba Damilare Oloyede, also charged on the need to maintain the subsisting peaceful coexistence that has abound in the state over time, adding that there is no better place to call home.

Describing Easter as a time Christians celebrate the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ who offered Himself as a sacrifice for the remission of the sins of the world, the group maintained that its commemoration reminds us of God’s covenant with mankind to always triumph over whatever challenges it may be faced with.

“Easter season reminds us of the Love of God for mankind. A love that was demonstrated by giving His only son Jesus Christ who sacrificially died for us so we could be set free from the bondage of sin. The resurrection of Christ after death, however, remains a pointer to new possibilities and a new hope. The people of Ogun state should, therefore, remain conscious of this at all times and rekindle their love for God and humanity as better days lie ahead”.

GMO also implored the people of the state to pray specifically for the governor-elect, as he is set to take over the reins of government.

“In the spirit of the season, there’s no better sacrifice on our part, having ensured the victory of the governor-elect at the polls, than to continually put him in our prayers so he could deliver on his electoral promises and build an Ogun state we can all be proud of.”

President Muhammadu Buhari has signed into law the Minimum Wage Repeal and Re-Enactment Act, 2019, The Regular News has learnt.

The President assented to the Act in Abuja, mandating all employers of labour across the country to pay workers a minimum of N30,000 monthly wage.

With the economic benefits available for Ogun state, as the closest state to Lagos, West Africa’s economic hub, the gateway state according to Coordinator of Gateway Media Organization, Omooba Damilare Oloyede is ready to take the rightful position in South west.

Speaking with selected journalists on the sideline of the official inauguration of the economic transition committee by the State’s Governor-elect, Prince Dapo Abiodun, MFR today, at Ogere Remo, Oloyede enthused that with the caliber of people gathered in the committee and work groups by the Governor-elect, Ogun state would be able to comfortably stand tall amongst the comity of states in south west.

“Not a few will agree with me that, these crop of technocrats, professionals in politics and grassroot politicians are a quintessential set who would aid the Governor-elect to put Ogun state on the right path, hence making the state stand tall to take her rightful position in Yorubaland(South west). When Mr. Tunde Lemo, a former deputy governor of CBN leads a team which comprises Prof. Sidi Osho, Mr. Dapo Okubadejo, Prince Gboyega Nasir Isiaka and the likes of Sen. Gbenga Kaka, one should expect nothing less than a turn around economically”, Oloyede submitted.

“Upon inauguration on May 29 there would be adequate and strong synergy between Lagos and Ogun. We can all see that this is a government with vision, so we see Ogun state shining her stars excellently”.

When asked of his optimism in the implementation of policies to be formulated by the committee, Omooba Oloyede assured that Abiodun’s administration would be up to the task as the governor-elect is obviously determined to take Ogun state to the next level.

” I am confident that Prince Dapo Abiodun would implement policies that can enhance the life of the people of Ogun state, he wants to move the State to the next level and he means this to the letters. You can see he even made mention of this in his speech while inaugurating the committee. This is a man that understands that implementation is the advance stage of policy formulation”, Oloyede concluded.

It’s not about law. It’s not really about your right. It’s about reality. This is Nigeria, when you are faced with difficult situations, BEG your way out, don’t claim some constitutionally unprotected laws.

It’s high time we got our liberty from the ancient prison of self deception and public deceit. Nigeria is going nowhere with this current system. We can only speculate our follies and all our hope in a prickle have no soft landing measure – all dashed!

When will the Aso Rock be cured of glaucoma? Because the future has no relationship with the present in your brain.

There is hunger and anger in the face of average Nigerian on the street, these suffering are just religiously and psychologically covered with faith and motivation… We are suffering! I am too! Let’s get off behind one finger, people are hungry and angry. Don’t be deceived with those smiles and selfies. Even Motivational speakers have their wands producing thinko, not because they aren’t vast but the jejune atmosphere created by those saboteurs would fault most principles of betterment.

The distance between the rich and poor is as high as earth and heavens. Yet, we celebrate their new policies that are only meant to make the rich richer and the poor poorer. We are on a messy gunpowder which already has exploded but we unnoticeably hope for its announcement.

When you encounter armed uniform men like police, please cooperate with them, don’t prove one law or right, they are hungry and angry too. I doubt if a week pass without report of police brutally dealing with innocent and bullet shot at or stray at innocent… It cannot stop, if the system is not reviewed.

You still remember the officer who smashed a guy’s iPhone on the ground BECAUSE he was angry that how could he afford a phone of 200k while he (the officer) couldn’t in his 14 years service. That is the definition of frustration. What about the killings repeatedly reported on the media and others that are not on pages of newspapers and social media…
We are dying of hunger and committing genocide just because of unexpressed anger!

Today, I spent over 7 hours at UCH, I almost wept for Nigeria. There was no power throughout that period. Some clinics used generator until it run out of fuel and… All blackout! Worst of all, people were sent away from using the those dirty toilets 🚽 because there was no water, no light… Ah! Nigeria is finished.

If you had travelled Oyo-Ogbomoso Road you would understand what I am saying. That is exactly the situation we are here in Nigeria. If you talk, they will nail you like you are not saying the reality. But what’s wrong with us here?

Na wao!

I’m not talking about politics because that’s is already rotten.

As a matter of urgency, I call the federal government to review confab reports.
