As Easter is being celebrated all over the world, the people of Ogun state have been asked to continue to pray for the peace and prosperity of the State, just as all looks forward to the administration of the state’s governor-elect, Prince Dapo Abiodun, MFR.

While wishing the people of Ogun state a joyous and fulfilled celebration, the Gateway Media Organization urge residents of the State to be optimistic of great prospects and potentials of the incoming administration.

The GMO in a statement signed by its coordinator, Omooba Damilare Oloyede, also charged on the need to maintain the subsisting peaceful coexistence that has abound in the state over time, adding that there is no better place to call home.

Describing Easter as a time Christians celebrate the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ who offered Himself as a sacrifice for the remission of the sins of the world, the group maintained that its commemoration reminds us of God’s covenant with mankind to always triumph over whatever challenges it may be faced with.

“Easter season reminds us of the Love of God for mankind. A love that was demonstrated by giving His only son Jesus Christ who sacrificially died for us so we could be set free from the bondage of sin. The resurrection of Christ after death, however, remains a pointer to new possibilities and a new hope. The people of Ogun state should, therefore, remain conscious of this at all times and rekindle their love for God and humanity as better days lie ahead”.

GMO also implored the people of the state to pray specifically for the governor-elect, as he is set to take over the reins of government.

“In the spirit of the season, there’s no better sacrifice on our part, having ensured the victory of the governor-elect at the polls, than to continually put him in our prayers so he could deliver on his electoral promises and build an Ogun state we can all be proud of.”
