Peter and Jude Okoye have criticised the federal government’s plan to stop the shooting of music videos, movies outside the shores of the country.

TRN earlier reported that Lai Mohammed, minister of information, said the government had taken steps to get the Nigeria Broadcasting Code (NBC) to put an end to the trend.
He had said: “This government has agreed that henceforth, whatever we consume in Nigeria in terms of music and films, must be made in Nigeria.

“We cannot continue to go to South Africa or any other country to produce our films and then send them back to be consumed in Nigeria.”
Reacting, Jude who manages the affairs of Psquare took to Instagram to lambast the federal government, describing the plan as an exercise in hypocrisy.

Supporting his brother, Peter said the government should be grateful to entertainers for putting Nigeria in a good light despite the “shame they bring upon the country”.
