Snazzy the Optimist: Meet Nigerian born artiste who caught the attention of South African President, Jacob Zuma

Starting from his Alumnus, Snazzy the Optimist was just 11-year-old when he was chosen by Hoërskool Jan van Riebeeck to represent the school in a music competition which took place in Cape Town, South Africa where he was raised.

The talented young star who was born in Nigeria but raised in South Africa displayed his musical skills at South African Independence day.

One of his big breaks came when he caught the attention of Jacob Zuma, President of South Africa after winning a rap battle for Hoërskool Jan van Riebeeck in Cape Town, South Africa in the year 2010 with over 15 contestants.

Snazzy the Optimist was chosen to appear on “Amazing Kids” the most anticipated and hyped show (2010) in Cape Town to showcase his talents in music.

His performance on the show solidified him as one of the Smartest and Most Talented Kids. By 2010/2011 Snazzy had become a popular face in his school and Town racking up dozens of credits in school, television and on the news.
