The Governor-Elect of Osun State, Mr Gboyega Isiaka Oyetola, and his running mate, Alabi have on received the certificates of return from the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
The certificates of return, which were endorsed by the national chairman of INEC, Professor Mahmood Yakubu was presented by the body’s director of legal service, Barrister Oluwatoyin Babalola.
Earlier, the Osun State Resident Electoral Commissioner of INEC, Mr Olusegun Agbaje reiterated the impartiality of the electoral umpire while both the September 22, 2018 gubernatorial poll and the rerun election of last Thursday lasted.
While speaking after receiving the certificate of return, Oyetola commended INEC for conducting credible elections, just as he expressed his appreciation to the generality of the people in the state, the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), relevant stakeholders for their undaunted support and collaboration before, during and after the election process.
