After nine miscarriages, Gabrielle Union and Dwyane Wade welcome baby girl by surrogate

American actress, activist, and author, Gabrielle Union and her hubby, American professional basketball player, Dwyane Wade are super excited as they announced the arrival of their baby girl.

The married couple, after successfully managed to keep the secret for nine months and made the announcement  on Wednesday that their new daughter was born on 7 November via surrogate. It comes after Gabrielle, 46, revealed her heartbreaking struggle to conceive and multiple miscarriages last year.

Wade and Union both took to instagram moments ago to share a few photos with their baby girl, along with some lyrics from Bill Withers’ song “Lovely Day.”

In a personal message, the pair said: ‘We are sleepless and delirious but so excited to share that our miracle baby arrived last night via surrogate and 11/7 will forever be etched in our hearts as the most loveliest of all the lovely days. Welcome to the party sweet girl! #onelastdance #skintoskin.’

Gabrielle detailed her ongoing struggle to conceive in her autobiography, We’re Going to Need More Wine, revealing that she’s had at least eight or nine miscarriages.

The Being Mary Jane actress said: ‘I have had eight or nine miscarriages. For three years, my body has been a prisoner of trying to get pregnant — I’ve either been about to go into an IVF cycle, in the middle of an IVF cycle, or coming out of an IVF cycle.’

Wade and Union were married in 2014 and this is their first child together.
