Barely 72 hours to the dawn of a new administration, wife of the incoming governor of Lagos state, Dr (Mrs) Ibijoke Sanwo-Olu has assured that her husband, Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu, will live up to expectations.

She made the assertion on Sunday during the handover ceremony of the Committee Of Wives of Lagos State Officials which held at the Lagos House, Ikeja.

According to her, the incoming administration will ensure that its proposed programmes and projects are achieved.

She also stated that the incoming governor will uphold the ideals of the All Progressive Congress (APC) in the state.

“We will uphold the ideal and ideas of the party including the THEME; an acronym my husband has put in place. We will put in place anything that has to do with transportation management and traffic, about the health sector, the environment, bringing the 21st century into place and the entertainment industry – that there should be some improvement.”

“The most important to me is the security of the state, and I am sure that he is going to do that as he hit the ground running” she added.

Sanwo-Olu who emerged as the new chairperson of COWLSO however craved the support of everyone to join hands with her husband to take the state to a next level.

“It is not something I can do alone or my husband can do alone. Everybody is going to join hands together to develop the state. We need everybody, we are not going to have any group or caucus.”

Having accepted the handover notes from the outgoing First Lady, Bolanle Ambode, the soft-spoken incoming First Lady promised to consolidate on the achievements of her predecessors.
