American RnB singer, R Kelly has reportedly been dropped from a Sony Music record label following the release of an explosive documentary that alleged sexual misconduct.

Variety magazine and Billboard reported Sony had “dissolved its working relationship” with the R&B star on Friday.

Sony Music is a parent company of RCA Records, the label R Kelly signed to.

R Kelly’s name was not present on the list of RCA Records artists this evening, though no official statement has been made so far.

The reports come two weeks after a documentary was released that explored serious allegations relating to the singer’s conduct with women over the course of his career.

The documentary, Surviving R Kelly, debuted on Lifetime and spoke to his alleged victims, as well as music industry figures.

Kelly has vehemently denied any wrongdoing.
