It’s become a common phenomenon among people who use social media to say “Oh God, why me?” anytime they are faced with life challenges. Why not you? Why not me? Can everything be smooth? Why do we even have sadness as the opposite of happiness? Why do people still say “as sweet as honey” and “as bitter as bile”? Why are some people short and others tall? Why do we even speak countless languages? Why do the beautiful ones defecate the same way the ugly ones do? The moment you get answers to these posers is when you simply know that those who wear shinning and crisp suits still sweat underneath. Isn’t that logical?
Alas! Anytime challenges smile at you, remember this verse 👇👇📝
The Noble Quran 2:155
وَلَنَبْلُوَنَّكُم بِشَىْءٍ مِّنَ ٱلْخَوْفِ وَٱلْجُوعِ وَنَقْصٍ مِّنَ ٱلْأَمْوَٰلِ وَٱلْأَنفُسِ وَٱلثَّمَرَٰتِ ۗ وَبَشِّرِ ٱلصَّٰبِرِينَ
Walanabluwannakum bishayin mina alkhawfi waaljooAAi wanaqsin mina alamwali waalanfusi waalththamarati wabashshiri alssabireena
And certainly, We shall test you with something of fear, hunger, loss of wealth, lives and fruits, but give glad tidings to As-Sabirin (the patient ones, etc.).
Fear will be created in your mind, definitely!
You will be hungry, even when you have food at home! How possible is that, you query? Haven’t you fallen sick before? Oh…!
Recession will shake hands with you, even if you are an economic guru! Laws of demand and supply will be rendered useless ; diminishing marginal utility will silently return.
Your loved one will bid you a voiceless goodbye. He or she will be snatched away by the honourable hands of death ; don’t be sad!
There will be famine – tomatoes will be affected by Ebola ; the prices of rice, beans and our common Gaari will rise in that local market; many people will turn farmers again!
However, all these are just normal tests of time. Be patient and here comes radiating green light at the end of our tunnel.
