Nigerian Afrobeat superstar David ‘Davido’ Adeleke has postponed his ‘A.W.A.Y’ music festival to November 18, 2023.
The one-day event which was supposed to hold in State Farm Arena in Atlanta, Georgia, United State of America; has been moved from Friday, November 18, 2022, to November 18, 2023.
The festival’s postponement was announced in a statement on his management’s Instagram page.
“We have made the difficult but necessary decision to postpone A.W.A.Y Festival until November 18, 2023. To all ticket buyers, your tickets will be honoured for the 2023 date. Thank you for understanding, and we look forward to seeing you all in the near future,” the statement reads.
The reason for its postponement was to honour his late son Ifeanyi who passed away in a drowning accident, giving the afrobeats crooner time with his loved ones.
