Benzema extends Real Madrid contract

Real Madrid forward player, Karim Benzema has agreed a four-year contract extension at Real Madrid that will keep him with the Spanish and European champions until 2021.

Benzema  committed his future to Real Madrid following the lines Vice-captain Marcelo, Isco and Dani Carvajal who have all extended their deals to remain until 2022 over the past week with Real rewarding key members of the squad.

Benzema,29-year-old joined Madrid from Lyon for £25m in 2009 and has won 14 trophies at Real, including three Champions League titles and La Liga twice.

Benzema has not featured for France since being implicated in a blackmail scandal involving international team-mate Mathieu Valbuena in November 2015.

A ceremony will be held on Thursday as the striker becomes the latest key player to agree to fresh terms with the European champions.
