Nigerian Afropop star, Akinbiyi Abiola Ahmed popularly known as Bella Shmurda has unveiled his anticipated debut studio album titled “Hypertension” from his label, Dangbana Republik.
The album which consists of 15 songs and lasts for 44minutes, was dropped on Wednesday 26th of October 2022, following the release of a single ‘Philo’ with Omah Lay off the album.
The songs are New Born Fela, Ase, Contraband, Loose It! featuring Simi, Oh Oh Oh, Converse featuring Phyno, Fire, Lagos City, Level Up, Philo, Nakupenda, No Other, Man of the Year, Addicted and So Cold.
The 15-track album features Jamaican singer, and songwriter, Popcaan, and British rapper and singer, Pa Salieu, Simi, Phyno, Not3s, L.A.X, and Victony.
Hypertension was co-produced by Fancy Beatz, KrizBeat, Larry Lens, P-Prime, Niphkeys, Jimohsoundz, Killertunes, Michon, ATG, Tytanium, Lion White, Kazez and PBeats.

Bella Shmurda has previously released two EPs, his debut EP, High Tension and sophomore Extended Playlist, titled ‘High Tension Vol. 2, in 2020 and 2021 respectively. The EPs enjoyed impressive success and culminated in a nomination for Headies Next Rated award at the 2020 Awards.
“High Tension” was complied with 7-tracks and features YBNL Nation Boss, Olamide. The body of work has credit from ID Cabasa, AJeOnDMix and other notable producers.
While “High Tension Vol. 2” was co-produced by Fancy Beatz, SB The Producer, Cent Hor, Larry Lens, Vibes and YT Farhad.
Bella Shmurda rose to fame after YBNL boss, Olamide featured him on his hit single ‘Vision 2020’.
