​Shehu Sanni challenges South West leaders to hold political summit

The Senator representing Kaduna Central, Senator Shehu Sanni has called for a political summit in Ibadan, if the South West is serious about regaining power in 2023.
Senator Sanni who stated this at the 5th edition of Olalekan Olomide Summit held at the NUJ Press Centre, Iyaganku Ibadan, referred to the South West as the heartbeat of APC, declaring that without the South West, there is no APC. 
The Senator also called for a generational change in governance, having challenged youth to be ready to actively participate in governance by asking relevant questions from leaders.   
Similarly, the chairman of the event, Emeritus Professor  Oladipupo Akinkugbe corroborated the call for generational change in governance, sighting the examples of France, North Korea and other advanced countries where youth are in charge of leadership. He traced the problem of the Nigerian society to the decline in discpline and sacrifice, pointing at the sacrifice made by her founding fathers.
 In his goodwill message,  the Oyo State Commissioner for Information , Culture and Tourism, Mr. Toye Arulogun appreciated the the senator for identifying with Ibadan and his selfless contribution to the growth of Nigeria as a nation.
Personalities at the event included former commissioners Dr Gbola Adetunji, Bar. Lowo Obisesan, former caretaker chairman of Oluyole Local Government and Hon Abass Aleshinloye.
