Palm Sunday turned sour at the Ajilosun area of Ado-Ekiti, the Ekiti State capital, after a car over rammed an old man in the early hours of today.
According to an eyewitness, the victim was coming from Agric Olope junction when an unknown driver sped through the barricaded median and it him, leaving him dead in the process.
The driver was said to have fled the scene of the accident in his car immediately.
Passersby and sympathizers were seen at the scene of the accident.
Some of them blamed the accident on the tendency of motorists to flout traffic rules.
