Fire on Monday gutted Hiptv studio in Lagos.
It was learnt that the TV studio went up in flames at about 5:30pm.
Neighours and friends helped to put the fire out ahead of the Lagos fire service’s arrival.
No casualty was recorded at the time of the report.
The media house confirmed the incident on its Instagram page @officialhiptv, saying the cause of the fire is being investigated.
Ayo Animashaun, the television executive, magazine publisher and CEO of Smooth Promotions in a statement said at the end of the fire, the entire studio, as well as assorted equipment, that were assembled for over a decade, were razed.
“But we are thankful that no lives were lost.
“Since the incident yesterday, there has been an outpouring of support from friends who have called and visited. I wish to thank them all.
We assure our clients and fans that this set back will not affect our production. The show goes on.”
